Lilac Tilda

Hadn't made a card with a Magnolia Tilda stamp for a little while so to feed my habit I put this one together.

I stamped and then coloured her with Copics (as per). I then put her onto the die cut nestabilities and on to the lovely lilac patterned backing paper that I had edged with two different Martha Stewart border punches. Next I cut a strip for the middle and edged that with a Fiskars border punch. To finish I added the lilac gingham ribbon, the sentiment, punched flowers, glitter glue and button. The circular sentiment is from the lovely Lily of The Valley stamp collection, which I stamped, punched and coloured with a chalk inkpad.

Penny Black Saturday Challenge Wk 97

Well after being selected as the prize winner for last weeks Penny Black Saturday Challenge I thought it only polite to enter this weeks challege too! LOL...This weeks Penny Black Saturday Challenge wk 97  is to use
MONOCHROMATIC BROWN
on your design... whatever it may be, card, box, notebook cover etc.

Well I knew I had some scrummy polka dot brown paper and a lovely Bear stamp that would lend itself to the project nicely.
I stamped the image in Versafine Vintage Sepia and coloured with Copics and cut him out, I then stamped him again onto an  oval nestability. Layered onto the gorgeous spotty paper. I punched a matching strip of card with a fiskars border punch. I added the "Stamps Away" sentiment, ribbon, punched flowers and of course some gold "stickles" glitter glue to finish.

I haven't spent the yummy Stitch 123 voucher I won from the challenge last week but it's burning a hole in my pocket as I speak...LOL

Penny Black Saturday Challenge Wk 70

Decided to get back into the Challenge loop this week so to kick off have entered the Penny Black Saturday Challenge which I always love to do as Penny Blacks are my favourite stamps to use. So the challenge was to include buttons and bows on your card or craft item. Now this wasn't so hard for me as I nearly always include a bow and buttons on my cards somewhere....lol.

Below is a close up side on view of the card

Stamp - Penny Black
Backing Paper - Peace on Earth Collection from Creative Cardmaking Magazine
Buttons and Sentiment - Dress It Up from Craftime
Ovals - cut with Nestabilities
Edge Punch - Fiskars
Coloured with Copics
And last but not least Glitter Glue......

Have a nice day

A Card and A Tag

I've been photo tagged by Angeljakki.I haven't done one of these before so here goes.

The rules for this challenge are - Go to where you store your photos on your computer. Go to the SIXTH folder and pick the SIXTH photo. Post that photo on your blog along with a SHORT story about it. Tag SIX people and leave a comment on their blog or email them letting them know you chose them.

Right all that out the window and cheat because I've got a new laptop and have only a few folders on it at the moment. so I picked one of favourite pictures.

This is Phoebe, my youngest at her school Nativity play. She played her part really well but in a little world of her own, gazing out into the audience of Mums and Dads It was at the end and she had been crying because she wanted to be with me. Aaahh this picture melts my heart.

Okay, now to pass this on to:-
Nadia
Shelley
Chloe
Over the Wall
Debbie
Valentines

Hope nobody in the list minds being tagged and I understand if you are too busy crafting to take part.

Made this card in the week with a some stamps I bought a couple of years ago and have never used -tut tut. I stamped and colored with Copics and then layered onto an oval Nestability. Stuck onto a card covered with green backing card. added the strip cut both sides with Fiskars border punch. Added the sentiment which i printed on the computer and a couple of flowers with a brad through. Of course I dabbed some glitter glue around to finish- compulsory isn't it?

Sketch Saturday and A blog Award

Just had to have a go a this lovely sketch when I saw it on Sketch Saturday Challenge Blog It was a really nice sketch to follow. I used my new Leanne Ellis "Wish" stamp. I coloured her with my Copics and then decoupaged her to give her a bit more depth. I layered her onto a piece of K and Co backing paper, cut the strip and used my Fiskars border punch on it. Punched out hearts and decorated with miniture buttons and glitter glue. The sentiment was a freebie with a magazine aaagggges ago.

I had a nice surprise this afternoon when I found I had received these blog awards from Shelley and her fabulous blog Minkies Paper Paradise
Do drop by her blog and have a look at her scrummy work. Now i've to pass the awards on to 5 other people
I would like to pass these Awards onto:-

Aneljakki
Debbie at Inky Smudges
Nadia
I'm not sure if challenge blogs receive awards but here goes
Penny Black Saturday Challenge
I just love that place and would just like to show how much I appreciate the hard work and time it must take to run the Challenges every week
I'm not sure the next one is allowed either but she is my daughter and she is Fab.

Oh Come All Ye Faithful

Used an old PSX stamp I have to make this card. Picked the backing paper first and then coloured in the image to match using my tombow markers. Used a fiskars border punch to make the bottom "frill" and a strip of sentiment that I got from the NEC Craft show last year. Added gold ribbon, glitter and snowflake button from stash. Not getting as much card making done at the moment as I would like as I've just started a new job and am getting into a new routine.

Sketch Saturday #16

I'm quite getting into and enjoying following sketches now and have had a go at Sketch Saturdays challenge again this week. Here is the sketch below.
Tilda is stamped in Versafine vintage sepia and then watercoloured. I decided to have a change from pinks and cutesy colours and went for light brown/tan instead. Both the backing papers were from Little Sizzles pads. I used my new Fiskars border punch on the paper edges and then chalked them too. Added punched hearts, Sentiments and buttons from stash.
