Getting Ready For Christmas!

Sorry to bring the subject of Christmas up when we're all praying for Spring to come early, but I'm not, not, not going to have to buy any shop bought cards this year. So here's another for the Christmas box.

She's Holly Fairy from Mo's Digital Pencil Shop .Isn't she just lovely?  I downloaded and printed her off onto some copic card from Sir Stampalot which is fab with the copics, the colour just glides on to it. I just layered her onto a piece of gold mirror card, I didn't think she needed any backing paper as she's such a beautiful image on her own. Added the ribbon, sentiment and bell from stash. I've used some chrystal  laquer on the snowglobe and sprinkled some glitter into it for effect but it hasn't shown up on the photo. Just a quick post as I'm off to spend a loyalty voucher I have for a local craft shop (any excuse)....
Have a great weekend everybody

Boys Birthday Cards

Following on from the last post Phoebe has received two invites to boys Birthday parties. I will really have to buy some Boy style birthday stamps as cute really wont do! So all I have is a K and Co backing paper pad. Nice bright colours that I just added a sizzix tag, sizzlit letters, sizzix numbers, buttons and the sentiment stamp. I used creamy brown liquid chalk cats eye pad around the edges.

Below is another one that follows the same style with different papers.

Not totally over the moon with them ( really must get some "boy" stamps)
Thanks for looking and have a great day.

Cute Birthday Cards

Having a 6 year old daughter means I have to have a stock of cute cards to hand for all the parties she goes to and at the moment thats one every week.  aaaaggghhhh! Costs a blooming fortune for pressies....but it also means I can make lots of cute cards that are going to get used. Below is the latest batch.

I made 3 of these to keep things going for a while. The clear stamp is by Tina Wenke and is called "Mouse-Bird-Ladybug-Cupcake". and is coloured with copics. Layered onto blue card (whick I got from Papermill, lovely shade of powder blue that you don't ofter see) and pink patterned backing paper. I added ribbon, flowers, button, sentiment and Stickles glitter glue. Hope you all have a great Sunday with plenty of time for crafting if you want it.

Penny Black Saturday Challenge wk 84

Decided to get my act together and enter the Penny Black Saturday Challenge wk 84, which is a colour challenge. It is to be a Penny Black stamp and then use the colours Blue,Cream and Gold. What a lovely colour combo that is. So below is my entry:-

I stamped the image in Gold and heat embossed with gold powder. I then coloured the flowers blue with Copics and layered onto blue and gold card. I used my Martha Stewart doiley punch down the edge and layered a piece of gold card underneath. I then added ribbon, flower and sentiment tag. I distressed a little here and there with a creamy brown  liquid chalk pad.

Off to link this up now - I'm so out of practice. Thanks for dropping by.

Wow A Post At Last

Happy New Year Peeps.... Hope you all had a great Christmas too. Have been busy doing other things (mostly eating chocolate and watching TV ...shame on me!) Haven't done any cardmaking since before christmas hence the lack of posts. So this is a catch up post to show you some of the cards I made previously and a couple of beautiful cards I received from other lovely people. In my defence it has been very cold here as I'm sure a lot of you are experiencing  too and  going up into the freezing cold loft which would take a weeks wages to heat before I could get in is out of the question. So to start us off is the beautiful card I received from my blogging friend Nadia aka Diana Scarlett.

Isn't she lovely...I love the style of this card and the lots of layers, the swirls are on acetate layered over the backig papers, beautiful .. thanks so much Nadia. Nadia had also taken the time to decorate the inside and the back of her card.Do check out her blog via the link above she makes beautiful and original pieces.

Next up is a lovely card I received from my youngest Daughter Phoebe. Phoebe made the card at school and I think it's a lovely fun christmas card. Well done Phoebe.

The next 2 cards are Christmas cards I made for my daughters,  both with Magnolia Tilda stamps

I love this stamp and I think it will always be a favourite. I coloured her using copics and the little hanging heart ( below) is also Magnolia.

Here ( below) is a close up of Tilda herself...

Here is the other card again coloured with copics.

..and a close up of the Magnolia sentiment embellisment that I added stickles glitter glue to.

Last up is the Birthday card I made for Phoebe.

Well thanks for looking and I hope everyone has a great start to the year, hopefully it will warm up a bit soon and I'll be able to get up in the loft where my craft stuff is.(I can hear it calling to me..lol)
Bye for now.
