A Card and A Tag

I've been photo tagged by Angeljakki.I haven't done one of these before so here goes.

The rules for this challenge are - Go to where you store your photos on your computer. Go to the SIXTH folder and pick the SIXTH photo. Post that photo on your blog along with a SHORT story about it. Tag SIX people and leave a comment on their blog or email them letting them know you chose them.

Right all that out the window and cheat because I've got a new laptop and have only a few folders on it at the moment. so I picked one of favourite pictures.

This is Phoebe, my youngest at her school Nativity play. She played her part really well but in a little world of her own, gazing out into the audience of Mums and Dads It was at the end and she had been crying because she wanted to be with me. Aaahh this picture melts my heart.

Okay, now to pass this on to:-
Nadia
Shelley
Chloe
Over the Wall
Debbie
Valentines

Hope nobody in the list minds being tagged and I understand if you are too busy crafting to take part.

Made this card in the week with a some stamps I bought a couple of years ago and have never used -tut tut. I stamped and colored with Copics and then layered onto an oval Nestability. Stuck onto a card covered with green backing card. added the strip cut both sides with Fiskars border punch. Added the sentiment which i printed on the computer and a couple of flowers with a brad through. Of course I dabbed some glitter glue around to finish- compulsory isn't it?

Sketch Saturday and A blog Award

Just had to have a go a this lovely sketch when I saw it on Sketch Saturday Challenge Blog It was a really nice sketch to follow. I used my new Leanne Ellis "Wish" stamp. I coloured her with my Copics and then decoupaged her to give her a bit more depth. I layered her onto a piece of K and Co backing paper, cut the strip and used my Fiskars border punch on it. Punched out hearts and decorated with miniture buttons and glitter glue. The sentiment was a freebie with a magazine aaagggges ago.

I had a nice surprise this afternoon when I found I had received these blog awards from Shelley and her fabulous blog Minkies Paper Paradise
Do drop by her blog and have a look at her scrummy work. Now i've to pass the awards on to 5 other people
I would like to pass these Awards onto:-

Penny Black Saturday Challenge 32

The theme at Penny Black Saturday challenge this week was "Dotty". So I used this old penny black sunflower, stamped in Versafine vintage sepia and coloured with Copics. I layered it on to some dotty backing paper and added stamped swirls over the whole of the card. I added a green rafia bow, some glitter to the flower head and a yellow butterfly button to finish.

Scooter Dog and An Award

My youngest daughter is going to a boy classmates Birthday party at the weekend, well I've got loads of girly pretty cards but no boy cards. Anyway, remembered I had got this super Penny Black "Scooter Dog" rubber stamp from a bargain bucket at a craft show earlier this year. I'm not very good at boy cards (having 2 daughters myself) but I am quietly pleased how this turned out and the icing on the cake was when I saw the little boy whos party it is, scooting home from school on his own little scooter this afternoon.

Happy 2009 and Getting Back to Cardmaking With the Penny Black Challenge

Hello All and A Happy 2009

I haven't done any cardmaking for quite a few weeks now and so I haven't had anything to put on my blog. I found my way back into my craft space in the loft on Sunday afternoon and after leaving the heater on for a few minutes to warm it all up and get the blood flowing decided to do the Penny Black Challenge to ease me back in nicely. I think I had too much else going on before Christmas (you know how it is)new job, present buying, decorating the lounge before I could even think about the tree, shopping and more shopping. So anyway back to it.

The Challenge was to use Pink and Brown colour scheme along with any Penny Black Image. I stamped the mouse in Versafine vintage sepia twice,I coloured one image with Copics ( I did get some for my Birthday- yummy yummy)cut it out and layered onto the other image which I had stamped onto a nestability oval. Added ribbon, sentiment, paper flowers and pearl gems. Layered onto larger oval nestability and stuck onto card covered in pink backing paper.

Thanks to everyone who dropped by in 2008.
It's good to be back and looking forward to sharing in 2009,
