Blog Candy at Papercrafts by rach and Cute Card Thursday Challenge 32

I know your drooling at the picture above, loooovellllly isn't it. Fab card and fab blog candy.
Rach over at Papercrafts by Rach is having a fab "Whiff of Joy" Blog candy giveaway with a "Melinda hugging heart" rubber stamp and a host of other goodies to go with it. You have until Tuesday 28th of October to enter the draw so go check it out and bag some fabby stash. The theme over at Cute Card Thursday Challenge blog this week was Autumn and as this is my favourite time of the year ( beside Christmas) I just had to join in.

I stamped Tilda in Versafine Vintage Sepia and watercoloured her. After I trimmed the card with a Fiskars border punch I layered her on to Little Sizzles mat stack papers. I added the leaves, buttons, glitter and the sentiment which was free with a magazine a long while ago.

To Copic Or Not To Copic

Have been toying with the idea of getting some Copic pens and have been searching the web for info. Have decided to put all the links to good Copic Info in one place in case it's handy for anyone else who is thinking of taking the Copic plunge.

Copic Website :- lots and lots of info on colours, sets etc.

Stamping With Copics a downloadable guide to using copics and stamps.

I Like Markers a fantastic blog full of hints and tips for using Copics.

If anyone has any advise on buying Copics first time please leave a comment. I'd be very grateful.

Christmas Puddy Cat

Got this Penny Black stamp from Happy Stampers Northwest stamp festival a couple of weeks ago. Have seen it around for quite a while and decided to buy it as it is sooooo cute. Stamped in Versafine Smokey Grey and water coloured. Both the backing papers are DCWV but from different Christmas pads. The sentiment is Stamps Away and layered on to a nestability scalloped circle. Added punched holly leaves, Button, and ribbon from stash. Put Stickles Glitter glue on to finish.
The card doesn't look so garish IRL but the photo was taken when the light was going.

Little Claires Stamp

Couldn't resist this Little Claire's stamp when I saw it at a local Craft show a couple of weekends ago. I love whimsical images and fell in love with this one.
I stamped the image in Versafine Vintage Sepia and then watercoloured it. Layered on to the card over a piece of DCWV paper. The round sentiment stamp is from Stamps Away layered onto a nestability scalloped circle. I added Stickles, sequin stars and ribbon to finish. Hope you like it too.

Cute Card Thursday #31

Made this card for the Cute Card Thursday Challenge Blog. I got the stamp at the weekend in a bargain bucket at the Happy Stampers Northwest Stamp Festival at Hulme Hall, Port Sunlight. It's always a good show with plenty to look at but it's always very very busy and hot in the hall. Managed to spend all my pennies though despite the crowds.
Anyway back to the challenge which was to make a card incorporating "buttons and bows". Well I love bows and am always sticking buttons on my projects especially little teeny weeny buttons that are so cute.
The image is Penny Black stamped in versafine and watercoloured. She's very sweet isn't she?
I then layered her on to green and pink card and then on to Basic Grey paper. Added the Birthday sentiment layered on to a small nestability circle. Put the ribbon and bow on and then glued all the little buttons on. Last but not least added stickles glue to her flowers and hat. Hope you like her.

Sketch Saturday #19

Made this card earlier in the week but have been tooo busy to put it on. So this is for the Sketch Saturday Challenge blog. It was a lovely sketch to play with and I really enjoyed doing it. I Stamped "tilda holding Christmas Wreath" in Versafine Smokey Grey and then watercoloured her. The backing papers are from a Christmas DCWV pad. The sentiment is from Impression Obsession which I stamped in Olive green chalk ink. Added some punch flowers, ribbon and button from stash.

Old Sketch Saturday Christmas Card

Downloaded this sketch a while back from the Sketch Saturday Challenge blog but never got around to using it so I decided to have a play with it the other night.

Used an old Penny black stamp for the image stamped in Versafine Smokey Grey and water coloured. The red backing paper is from a DCWV pad and the spotty one is from a K and Co pad. I distressed and chalked all the edges to give it an "oldy worldy" feel. Added punched out holly leaves, buttons and ribbon from stash. Of course I added plenty of Stickles glitter glue - cos that's the law!!!!

Sketch Saturday #18

I've made this card for the Sketch Saturday challenge. I haven't strictly followed the sketch but I think it's close enough.
The stamp is an old Penny Black stamp which I stamped twice in Versafine Smokey Grey and watercoloured. I cut out the snowmen line up and layered on to the first image. The dark blue backing card is from a DCWV pad and the spotty glitter card is from stash. I stamped and heat embossed the Stamps Away sentiment circle in blue, which I then cut out with a punch and used a nestability die for the scalloped circle behind. Added the strip of white glitter card and again the dark blue DCWV card, punched out some silver snowflakes, and added glitter glue to finish - of course.
