Golden Wedding Anniversary Card

Have been a little busy with other things for the last few days so not much crafting or blogging done. Did manage to grab some time on Friday night to make a Golden Wedding Anniversary card for my Mother and Father In Laws Anniversary. Had to stick to a simple design as I didn't have much time to make it. Embossed the swirls and sentiment in gold and layered sentiment onto gold card. Added Prima flowers with a little bit of peachy chalk on the petals. The 50 was cut with Ellison thin cuts and layered on to punched cream and gold card. Then added some ribbon across the card and some bling to the centre of the flowers.

Swirly Birdy Card

Have had my swirly birdy Cuttlebug embossing folder for a while now and never used it so decided to make a little bird themed card. I stamped the stylised bird stamp from Hero Arts in Versafine Vintage Sepia onto a punched blue card circle and then added a touch of colour with pearly paints and pens. I then layered up on to a scalloped circle cut from brown sparkly card which came from a DCWV card pad. The blue backing card is also DCWV. Added ribbon and greeting.

Have just heard that a fellow uk scrapper Chris99 is starting a Blog -Sketching Stamper and I can't wait to see what she puts on. She is a very talented lady and I'm sure her blog will be fabulous. Her blog is Here
if you fancy taking a look and bookmarking it for future viewing.

Long Time No Scrapbook

Haven't done a scrapbook page for aaaaaages and seen as I've got quite a few cards in hand at the moment I decided to dust off my current album and add a page.

The Pink 12 x 12 card is Doodlebug. I layered the photos onto black card and added the swirls which are a free download from Funky Fairy Inspirations

The title rub-ons were also Doodlebug and I added flowers and gems to finish.

Penny Black Saturday Challenge

Here's my entry to the Penny Black Saturday Challenge. You were asked to make something with the first Penny Black stamp you ever bought. Well I searched in my stamp drawers and came out with this one. I'm not totally sure it was my first but I had written 1996 on the side of it in pen so it must be one of my first purchased. It's such a nice stamp to make tags for presents with. I used my snowflake cuttlebug embossing folder to emboss the card front and added ribbon and trim. The snowflake is a punch out.

Pale Blue Tilda

Added another card to my Christmas box. Stamped Christmas Tilda in Versafine Smokey Grey, watercoloured her and then cut her out and layered her onto backing paper and card. The blue backing paper is Penny Black but not sure whereabouts the spotty one came from. The little wavy sentiment banner is from CardArt. Added punched snowflakes, little white snowballs and a touch of glitter for that Christmas feel.

Cute Birthday Cats

Made a card for Cute Card Thursday blog challenge last night. Have gone Penny Black crazy at the moment!!! You had to use 3 different types of embellishments. I watercoloured the stamped image as usual. The backing paper was from a k and Co mat pad. I have used ribbon, a brad and flowers as my 3 different embellishments. Oh and there is a bit of bling on there too I hope thats not overkill!!

Purple Birthday

Here's the card I made for my daughters 15th Birthday. The backing papers were free downloads from Funky Fairy Inspirations and they are beautiful. The silhouette stamp was an e-bay purchase earlier this year - don't remember the make. I stamped in black pigment ink and embossed with clear powder. Cut black card for trim. Added flower, ribbon and bling here and there.
Have just had this Challenge blog bought to my attention for anyone who loves ther Penny Blacks. Its Penny Blacks Saturday Challenge. Will be good to see lots of lovely Penny Black creations.

Girl or a Boy?

Gosh it's been warm hasn't it. Had to have the fan on in the loft to cool me down but even then it was a bit too hot up there last night.
Have made a couple of baby cards for my neighbour, don't know what she's having yet so made one of each in anticipation as she's due any day now.
The word stamps are Stampendous which I stamped with chalk pads but they looked a bit plain so I then glittered over the top. The safety pin is a sizzix sizzlit die which I then put a bit of ribbon around. Saw that idea somewhere else but can't remember where or when. Punched 2 ovals and layered up with sticky pads. Cut a bit of trim out of matching card with my fiskars rotary cutter. Added the little buttons from stash.

Struggle with Tilda

Really struggled on Saturday night with the layout of this card - it just wouldn't come together. I drove myself mad, so left it on my workspace and went back to it this morning and it just flew together. Happy with the outcome now.
I Stamped Tilda with Smokey Grey Versafine, watercoloured the image and cut her out. Layered circles cut from K and co pad on to card after adding swirls to them with pink chalk pad. Stamped Tilda again across circle and card. Put ribbon across card for her to sit on. Layered her and her balloon on with sticky pads. Punched one scalloped circle and a plain circle for greeting.( it says Happy Birthday, can't quite see because of the light) Added flowers and brads and a little pink chalk around the edge of the card.

Cute Tag Card

Hello, I've been absent from here for a couple of nights as I've been working on my eldest Daughters Birthday card. I have finished it now but can't upload it yet as it's not her birthday until Wednesday and I don't want her to see.
Started making a little tag card last night for my Christmas box again and finished it this afternoon. I already had the stamped image coloured and ready to go. The tag is a Sizzix die cut just outside the fold to make a card. I Layered a piece of torn red card on top and a piece of DCWV backing paper behind the image. Of course the stamp is a Penny Black. Added the greeting, ribbon, glitter and buttons from stash.

Dad Birthday Card

Made a Birthday card for FIL last night. June is a Male card month for me 2 Dads Birthdays and 2 Fathers Day cards. I just can't get the creative juices to flow when I'm doing cards for men. I much prefer to be doing cute or pretty.

The backing papers were free with a magazine (I think). Cut a strip of red card and cut out a sizzix belt buckle to pop on it. The letters were Ellison "Curlie Girlie" ( not very male). Punched two circles, one scollopped and layered on the "Happy Birthday" and then put some glitter on to finish.

I should just point out that this card has a Blue and Red colour scheme not pink and purple as it may look on the photo.

Old Penny Black Stamp

Felt a bit yukky all day yesterday - think I sat in the sun too long on Saturday! Still I couldn't resist the pull of the craft room. Added another one to my Christmas box by making this Penny Black "Musical Angel" card. I've had her for years and had been ignoring her in my stamp drawers. Forgotten how cute she is. Stamped in Smokey Grey Versafine, watercoloured her and added glitter. Cut her out and layered her onto some red card. The greeting is a stampendous one also stamped in Versafine Smokey Grey with a little glitter added. The backing paper along the left hand edge is from a DCWV Christmas Pad with ribbon and bling from stash. I WILL BE ORGANISED FOR CHRISTMAS! I WILL I WILL!!
