Just Magnolia Challenge wk153

I seem to be getting into the swing of card making and doing my blog again and am really loving it.Thought I'd enter the Just Magnolia Challenge this week, I hope it counts if you haven't got a Tilda or an Edwin on it! The challenge this week was to use a pastel palette, so here's my entry.

Here's a closer view of the image

I stamped the image and coloured in with copics.  I used a Martha Stewart border punch for the strip across the middle of the card. A first for me was putting on the flowers, I'm not so good at arranging them so I fiddled a while with these ( I know there's only four). Finally, although you can't see it on here I have added glitter glue.

Back With A Challenge - PBSC Week 198

Haven't done alot of Blogging lately but here is an offering. Have joined in with the Penny Black Saturday Challenge week 198. The Challenge this week is No Patterned Paper.
I can take no credit for the idea behind this card, I saw it on Kaths blog a long time ago, but thought it was a great idea for the stamp.

I stamped the image Penny Black "Whispers" onto coloured card and cut out and layered the flowers. I have used distress ink just to add a tinge of colour around the edges of the card. I then added the sentiment, bow and glitter glue.

Christmas Tag Card

Morning All,
time for another upload, I am off work today full of a cold, sneezing everywhere so its a good job you can't catch these things over the internet.
I've made a few of the card I'm putting on today as they were quite simple to do.
I love the look of Kraft card on Christmas cards, I think it works really well. I stamped the image, Penny Black "Stitchery Santa" which I've had
since 1999 and has been a favourite most Christmases.

He is coloured in with Copics, embellished with a white gel pen, glitter glue and  cut out and layered onto a Sizzix tag that I had stamped with Penny Black "Winter Scroll" in white.  I then layered onto backing paper and green card and onto the Kraft card. I added folky ribbon, sentiment, a little star brad and glitter glue to finish.
Well I'm off for another lemsip, hope the cold doesn't catch you up,
but the crafting bug does.

Where Did The Time Go

Well haven't put anything on my blog for months, just haven't been in the crafting mood. Aha but now Christmas is nearly here and I thought I'd better get my crafting act together and get some cards done.
So have been busy in the background stamping, sticking, glittering etc etc. Will start putting a few on here in the next few weeks.

So here is my first "show and tell"

Its a lovely Molly Blooms image, I stamped in Versa Fine Vintage Sepia and then coloured with Copics. I used "Old Paper" Distress ink around the edges of the image and the card. Its layered onto green card and then onto backing paper which is a download that I just can't think of the name right now, will look into it and update when I can. I stamped the Woodware sentiment and punched out and then layered onto a nesti.. Added glitter glue, ribbon and buttons to finish. The card blank itself is a Craftworks card.

Hope youv'e all got your cardmaking mojos in place and are busy with your cards too,

Lilac Tilda

Hadn't made a card with a Magnolia Tilda stamp for a little while so to feed my habit I put this one together.

I stamped and then coloured her with Copics (as per). I then put her onto the die cut nestabilities and on to the lovely lilac patterned backing paper that I had edged with two different Martha Stewart border punches. Next I cut a strip for the middle and edged that with a Fiskars border punch. To finish I added the lilac gingham ribbon, the sentiment, punched flowers, glitter glue and button. The circular sentiment is from the lovely Lily of The Valley stamp collection, which I stamped, punched and coloured with a chalk inkpad.

Penny Black Saturday Challenge Wk 142

The challenge this week at Penny Black Saturday Challenge is "Green" in honour of St Patricks Day. Had a think and out came my Penny Black frog collection. I love this happy little froggy.
I stamped and coloured in Copics and cut out with Nestabilites and layered onto green spotty paper. I added flowers, sentiment and the glitter ribbon strip which was an absolute bargain from the QVC shop in Shrewsbury (highly recommend it if your in the area. I got loads of sets of stuff all at £1.99 a pack) but then had to haul it around with us all day.
Here's the pic of us carrying all the bags of goodies from the QVC shop.

Have A Nice Weekend and hope the weather stays as good as it looks today for us all.

She's a very pretty Kitty.

I printed her onto smooth card and coloured her with Copics. I cut her out with Nestabilities and layered her onto some pretty pink polka dot paper. I added the Craftwork cards sentiments, ribbon, and Stickles glitter glue to finish.

Penny Black Saturday Challenge Wk 139

The theme on the Penny Black Saturday Challenge this week is Men's Cards......ooohhhh not very clever at those. Gave it a go and came up with this.

They are so sweet aren't they standing on the little upturned plant pot to reach.
I coloured with copics and layered onto some craft card and then onto backing paper with suitable manly tones that came free with "Simply cards and Papercraft" magazine I added the heart (also free with same magazine) and sentiments and a little bit of garden twine to carry on the gardening theme. Last but not least I added the compulsory Stickles glitter glue in blue and green.

I made this card a few weeks ago but hadn't got around to blogging it. So here she is.
Stamped and coloured Tilda with copics, layered her onto nesties edged with distress ink and then on to fab Christmas backing paper and red card The scalloped card itself is from Craftwork cards and I also edged that in Tea dye distress ink. Added the sentiment, ribbon and flowers from stash.
I hope you are all finding it easier to get your Christmas cards done than I am at the moment

Tilda Blowing Bubbles

Made this Tilda card a while ago but have been a very lazy Blogger (I said Blogger) and not uploaded the card. I've decided I'm a winter blogger cause I go right off during the summer!
Stamped and coloured her with Copics and layered her onto nesties ( what did we do before nesties crafty people)  Layered whole thing onto card and added flowers, sentiments, ribbon and glitter glue.

Here is a close up of Tildas pretty bubbles.

Will have some more soon that i've made and not blogged.

Pirate Card

Pirates seem to be all the rage at the moment don't they? I bought some Pirate stamps from the Stamposaurus stand when I went to the NEC HobbyCraft show earlier on in the year so I could make some "boys" cards for my youngest, classmates Birthday parties. Have so far only made one card with them...tut...tut...tut.
I found the treasure map backing paper on a free project website and printed it off and cut to size. I stamped and coloured the various elements with Copics and layered onto the card. I used a cocktail stick for the little Pirate flag. Of course I added Stickles Glitter Glue to finish.
I also finished the card by decorating the inside using script backing paper and the same nestie cut outs as I used for the front. I didn't get to photograph the card before it was needed for a party and was written in by Phoebe.

Where did the summer and my good intentions go?!?

Well I've had the whole summer holidays off work with my youngest daughter and I was going to do soooooo much card making during that time.  Don't quite know what happened. Have managed to make a few cards and here is one.
I stamped the Hero Arts Cup Cake stamp 3 times and coloured with Copics in pastel colours. Layered onto sparkly white glitter card and pale pink backing card. The sentiments are from the same Hero Arts Cupcake set. I layered the whole lot onto some pretty pastel spot backing paper and added the compulsory Stickles glitter glue. I'm amazed I've made a card with not a ribbon in sight.

I hope everyone had a lovely summer despite the lack of sunshine.

Long Time No Blogging

Haven't blogged in ages. I have no valid excuses, I just haven't been cardmaking much at all as the weather has been sooooo nice. So this is a quick blog to show you a card I created.

Stamped the "Inkadinkadoo"  image, coloured with Copics and layered onto nestabilities. Added to the front of the scalloped edged card (Craftwork Cards) which I previously covered with "My Minds Eye" papers. Added ribbon, sentiment and flowers from stash
The stamp was something I bought with a "123 Stitch" voucher I won on the Penny black Saturday challenge blog a few months ago now.

Hope you enjoyed my quick blog entry, thanks for looking

Penny Black Saturday Challenge Wk 101

This weeks lovely Penny Black Saturday Challenge  title is "Flowers". So I couldn't wait to use a new stamp callled "Gift of Flowers" that I purchased the week before. Very appropriate.

I stamped her and coloured her with Copics. I have to admit I copied the colours from the top of the stamp exactly as I thought she looked so lovely. I layered her onto a piece of black card and then onto "Doodlebug" red spotty paper. I added the ribbon , sentiment and flowers from stash and added a little bit of faux stitching around the edge.
And on the inside I put some of the spotty paper , an oval cut nestie and a few flowers to finish.
Thanks for looking and enjoy the nice weather while it lasts!
